Developing applications using the KAURI Framework™ is highly intuitive and efficient because of our object-oriented approach. Once needs and requirements have been identified:

  • Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions can be held, taking the requirements and using the Framework to implement the application.

  • "Drag-and-drop” processes can be performed quickly during JAD sessions and a true working prototype can be seen immediately and changed as needed—allowing all stakeholders to know exactly how the application is going to look, feel and work before leaving the JAD session.

  • Using the Visual Studio .Net environment, development staff can begin adding individual user controls or pre-defined modules—simplifying design.

  • Pre-defined control modules provide all the functionality necessary to inquire, create, update, delete, search, display summary and display history for a data group.

  • Using simple “drag-and-drop” processes, controls and modules may be added to screens—requiring minimal code generation.

  • Controls and modules can be used as many times as needed and are customizable by the development staff.

  • During the JAD session, business rules are developed with the BizTalk rules engine using basic flowcharting techniques. This allows the stakeholders to see a visual representation of what actions will occur when data is added, updated or deleted in the system.

  • Each user control and pre-defined module added to the application incorporates the standard error processing and role-based security plan so no additional programming is needed to support required functions.

  • The development process completes as development staff use BizTalk to define system interfaces and create flow charts for business rules and workflow—then, connecting them to the Framework modules to perform the desired functionality.

  • Testing occurs throughout the design and development process. Each of the KAURI Framework user components and pre-defined modules are installed pre-tested and compiled and each of the development tools provide additional unit testing features. Overall integration and system testing occurs as each part of the system is completed.

  • Final customization defines the overall ‘look and feel’ of the application, requiring no technical programming effort and is maintained through a series of screens provided along with the KAURI Framework.
